Christmas day

Well, with changes in plans, we didn't get to feed the homeless but instead, we spent the whole day and christmas eve with my family.

The food yesterday was great, so much so that I got knocked out from being so full! I got my vintage white Canucks jersey, and some clothes. That's the thing when you get older and are single. You do not get much presents anymore, just because you don't need anything, and you can see how many people are strapped for cash this holiday season. It's not much, but I am definitely content with what I got this christmas

After the lunch, we all went out for a walk around Steveston, had some coffee and that was fun as well, working all that food out. It was cold, but it didn't matter.

So now, I head on to work to take on the busy boxing day craziness. Lots of lineups today and I love it when it's busy!

Hope everyone had a good Christmas! New Years is next!

Merry Christmas!!!!

For all of you out there in a different time zone(ie. Philippines), this greeting is not advanced but right on time. For others, it's a day early... in any case...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Rock on with friends and family and enjoy the foood! and presents!!!!!

Fantasy Basketball

After going back and forth with my brother Gabby switching 1st and 2nd place in my fantasy league, I now get this...

INJURIES!!!!!! click on the picture for a larger image

I cannot afford to drop these guys as they are the reason why I was in first place for a while.

One good thing though, I get to save my games a bit after going a little bit over in the first half of the league. Question is, will my injured players do as well as they did in the first half?

I dominate in 4 other categories being the first by a good margin but with these players out, it gives a chance for everyone to catch up to me quick.

Oh well, that's how it goes.... click on the picture for a larger image

Christmas Time

Well, finished all my exams and let me say that all of them were all brutal! I just hope I get by unscathed. But enough of that, it's time to enjoy what is coming... Christmas! As we speak, you could maybe hear Christmas songs in the background. Just a little something I added to my blog to add some "spice" to it.

I am so excited that my sister will be arriving today at 3:45 pm. It's been a long time and I miss that roomate I had for all these years. What we have planned as of now is to watch the Rocky movie with the whole family. I've heard a lot of good reviews about this Rocky movie and for someone that grew up watching it without being able to see it on the big screen, will be a first. I could have watched Rocky V but it already looked bad from the previews so I did not bother. I like the plot on this one.

Every Christmas morning, there is a new ritual that Carla and some of our friends and relatives do as well. That is, go to Holy Rosary Cathedral here in downtown Vancouver and feed the homeless. A lot of volunteers come in to this event and help out. You set up tables and chairs, prepare gift bags consisting of canned goods and groceries and prepare some turkey for them eat. Because there are a lot of volunteers each year, you can get an assembly line going for preparation of food, and you get to meet with a lot of really cool people. This will be actually the first time where I will have some of my real close friends willing to help out. This will make it even more fun as it will be their first time doing it.

I want to wish everyone an advanced Merry Christmas and New Years.

Evolution of Dance

This is the most watched YouTube Video

I can see why. Heck, it even made me download some of those cheesy songs in that video. This guy is awesome though, and it makes me want to learn ALL those dances.

Wow amazing...

While we're at it, this is another OK Go video. You may remember them from the "Dancing in the Backyard". I have this on the archive (Just click on the video link). This time they do it on treadmills! Oh man, it just gets better.

BAAA BAAAA

Black sheep... I'm finally going to go through and grow a goatee, for a change at least. And longer hair.

The transition stage is the worst, when it looks real ugly. I tried it this summer, then gave in to the temptation and shaved it all off. Let's see if I can stick with it this time...

I make this look like I am quitting something big... really... it's not a big deal. But I do need a little change.

I don't blame you guys if you cannot recognize me in a few months... ;)

Back to normal rainy winter

Yes, temperatures are back up, no boil water advisory, and no more snow forecast for a while. At least not until January or February they say

So, what now? Yes, more rain. A typical Vancouver winter. Snow was nice for a while, but not when you have to drive.

Whew!
