Sports stuff

Vancouver Canucks
Well, what can I say. I predicted that at most, we would be at .500 or less. Call me a pessimist but I really didn't believe Luongo would make that much of a difference. And if you told me that we are 3rd in the Western Conference with Naslund having probably his worst season in terms of scoring, I wouldn't have believed you

But look, we have balanced scoring and we just beat the Wings, the best team in the NHL at the moment. We are now looking to get that 2nd seed. We are no longer looking just to make the playoffs. We want more

The flags in my car are coming out soon in the playoffs. It has been, what, two years? Kudos to Alain Vigneault for doing a fantastic job making the most of the players we have.

NBA

Houston Rockets
Yao Ming is back and TMAc is playing as good as ever. With the West the way it is, the Rockets will be hard pressed to even make it past the first round. But they have a good chance. The injury to Yao still hurts and you can still see he is not himself coming back from it. The way he is moving right now reminds me of David Robinson in his later years. Capable, but noticeably average. He had been able to string 2-3 really good games together but his movements are still slower than at the start of the season. Just doesn't have his legs yet and his shot is rusty

Toronto Raptors
Who would ever thought that they would be doing well too? 4th in the Eastern COnference seedings? They are struggling a bit with a loss to the Knicks yesterday but overall, they have been doing better than expected. Bargnani is really starting to come into his own. Colangelo is looking like a genius

I wish I was there to watch with my sister in the Memphis game. Now is the perfect time to watch the Raptors. Because of her work, they have a luxury box with the Raptors. Man, that's awesome

Fantasy Basketball
Our 3-time champion, cousin Jamie, has now taken over first place ahead of my brother and I. Come on Gabz! Let's not Jamie win this one! It's hard because Jamie has a great team

I had mentioned before that what set me back was injuries to all my star players for a long time. Yao was one, Lewis was the other. I really needed them. I have them back but is it enough? Well, homestretch, see how it goes!

Good luck to everyone!
